Why this post ?
There has been some requests to explain acronyms of Great Buildings, for some new players and I would like to take the opportunity to introduce all Great Buildings in the game and explain what they are good for... This might take several posts, so I'll make this one short and sweet.I have taken the first 15 players of the guild and listed the GBs they have.
Out of this list, there are two important categories to analyze:
- The GBs almost all 15 players have
- The GBs almost all 15 players DO NOT have
Why are both of these important ?
The first one might give you pointers as to what GBs to build... The top 15 players of the guild cannot be all wrong... right ?
The second one might give you pointers as to what GBs ... not to build (at least not in priority...), for the same reason ! 😏😆 >> Note that some might become interesting at a later stage but you should maybe not build them before you've built the ones that are in the 1st category !
The 11 GBs all or most of 15 players have :
- ARC - The Arc > 15/15
- CC - Cape Canaveral > 15/15
- CDM - Castel del Monte > 15/15
- TOR - Temple of Relics > 15/15
- LOA - Lighthouse of Alexandria > 14/15
- SZ or ZEUS - Statue of Zeus > 14/15
- TRAZ - Alcatraz > 14/15
- CF - Chateau Frontenac > 13/15
- COA - Cathedral of Aachen > 13/15
- AO - Arctic Orangery > 12/15
- SMB - St Mark's Basilica > 12/15
The 10 GBs all or most of 15 players don't have :
- COL - Colosseum > 0/15
- ND - Notre Dame > 0/15
- OOD - Oracle of Delphi > 0/15
- AM - Atlantis Museum > 1/15
- CAP - Capitol > 1/15
- FOD - Frauenkirche of Dresden > 1/15
- LT - Lotus Temple > 1/15
- DC - Deal Castle > 2/15
- RAH - Royal Albert Hall > 2/15
- SV - Seed Vault > 2/15
Even if you've built a GB that is not the best choice, don't hesitate to remove it from your city ! I did that with my Oracle of Delphi (like all 15 players here...), my Colosseum and even my Hagia Sophia ! Better sooner than later. It will leave space in your city that you can use for better purposes. Food for thoughts :)
Go Woodchucks ! Go !
